A vegan birthday cake from Thailand has won rave reviews from readers, including one who said she’d “never tasted anything like it”.
In an article on the Vegan Life blog, one reader described the cake as “perfectly sweet and savoury” and added: “I’ve never tasted anything so satisfying and satisfyingly good.”
The cake comes with a fresh mango, carrots and pineapple in the middle, and a couple of pieces of cake.
It’s said to be vegan, gluten-free, egg-free and oil-free.
One reader also said: “It’s a very good and affordable vegan birthday gift, even for a family of four!”
The cake, which costs $15 for adults, is made by combining a whole cake and a mini cake.
The vegan cake is available from the Manna Thai Bakery, which sells a few other cakes like it in the country.
